Clean energy startup Two Point O raises $10 million to expand its business

Clean energy startup Two Point O Capital has raised $10 million in a funding round led by Transition Venture Capital. Existing investor Omnivore and angel investors Chiranjeev Singh Saluja and Sudhir M Reddy also participated in the round.

The company works with commercial and industrial businesses looking to adopt clean energy solutions and improve resource efficiency.
Battery storage among expansion plans
Two Point O plans to use the fresh capital to expand into additional areas, including battery energy storage systems. It also intends to strengthen its existing businesses in solar energy, energy efficiency and wastewater treatment.

Battery storage can help businesses store electricity for use when required. Alongside solar installations, it can help companies manage energy consumption and reduce their dependence on conventional power sources.

For commercial and industrial customers, the decision to adopt these technologies often depends on the initial investment, expected savings and the time needed to recover the cost.
A growing opportunity for climate-tech startups
India's transition towards cleaner energy is creating opportunities for businesses that can help companies adopt new technologies without having to build all the required expertise in-house.

However, clean energy startups also face challenges, including high capital requirements, long sales cycles and the need to demonstrate measurable savings to customers.

Two Point O's ability to convert its funding into new projects and recurring business will be important as it expands into additional segments.
